Here's what I came up with. Even daddy helped with the samurai hat. I think that bit turned out a little too big!! :-p

Go to the supermarket and look for egg crates! |
Paint black and let dry - it looks silver here because of the strong sun! |
Cut 2 pieces for the body, 4 pieces for the shoulder pads. |
Use a white or silver marker to add "embellishments" |
Use an orange crayon to give the armour a rusty look. |
String the shoulder pieces to each side of the body piece with a thick needle. |
If you want, you can add some red cardboard at the back of the egg crates for a little colour too. My son said that this is his favourite costume so far! :-) I'm glad he likes it...
