Valentines Day Butterfly

My son surprised me with a Valentines gift that he had made with the teacher's help. It was so sweet, but I later found that he was eyeing the lollipop! :-)

It looks simple to make - cutting a butterfly from a tissue box, dabbing it with paint and then inserting 2 slits in the middle for the pipe cleaners (and the lolly!). These would make a good party pack pressie!

Tea towels

A lot of people who go on holiday (okay, rather the people I know, and happen to be British!) would buy tea towels as souvenirs or gifts. I'm sure they or the recipient would have a lot of them sitting around their homes, or hung up on their walls. Wouldn't it be nice to do some DIY and make it unique!

Go to this website for ideas! Andy Murray Design has great ideas. I love the watch and bag idea :-)

The Pleated Poppy

I came across another refashioner, Lindsey, at The Pleated Poppy, via Just Better Together

Lindsey's flower embellishments on a T-shirt look great, and the crayon roll is excellent for keeping the crayons together and not broken!! I'm definitely putting these on my to do list.

Bottle Caps

Turning bottle caps into....

....Christmas ornaments, or maybe gift tags, or maybe keychains?

A great idea from Jubliantwares! OK, let's go to the coffeeshop or hawker center and hover over the uncles for their beer bottle caps :-)
