I'm going to zoom into the textile and leather waste. Well, there's not much change with the amount generated and recycled, with both creeping up by 1% from 2013 to 2014.
Year Generated Recycled
2013
156,600 tonnes 10%
2014 158,600 tonnes 11%
And I've just noticed that the recycling rates for some of the waste streams (e.g. plastics, cardboard/paper) have dropped a few points! Doesn't look too good. Read more here!
It's hard to visualise that much waste. It's mind boggling.
