Today is International Women's Day - celebrating the achievements of women around the globe. I thought I'd share a post on the women in Singapore who are inspiring change through their environmental initiatives. In no particular order......
Olivia Choong
Environmental activist and founder of Green Drinks Singapore
Olivia is the driving force behind Singapore's eco-movement, and won the EcoFriend 2013 award for her environmental contributions to Singapore. She also runs, Green PR, an environmental public relations consultancy catering to Small and Medium Enterprises.
Yumiko Uno
Head of Design & Production, Etrican
Yumiko set up Singapore's pioneer eco-label, Etrican, with business partner, Dragos Necula in 2009. Etrican uses only organic cotton and works directly with responsible factories in India.
Bhavani Prakash
Environmental Activist, Sustainability Speaker
Bhavani is the founder of Eco WALK to TALK, a non-profit environmental website with a focus on Asia. By giving talks and conducting workshops on Sustainability and various environmental issues, she gets us thinking about changing our behaviour for the better!
Farah Sanwari
Designer & Programme Consultant, Sustainable Living Lab
Farah is on a mission to get Singaporeans mending, and is the project lead behind Repair Kopitiam. Since the first training session in November last year, the Repair Kopitiam has now grown to over 30 volunteers, and has reached out to various communities in Singapore.

Michelle Obama inspires me. I love her initiative on ending childhood obesity!
