Wait, no, they come in fours, even though the number "4" is regarded as unlucky in Chinese culture!
#1 Togetherly Market!
I got the chance to be a vendor at the Togetherly Market at Orchard Central. Fellow designer, It Takes Balls, gave me the nudge and I thought, "why not?". I sold my handcrafted origami necklaces (designed by yours truely). Although I was only there for 2 days and a bit, it was an eye opener and an amazing experience. I really enjoyed my time there!
The market is still on (they got an extension!) and will end on 22 October.
#2 We were at the Clean & Green Singapore Event!
We were sharing about sustainable fashion and upcycling clothes at the Clean & Green Singapore event at Bugis+ on Sunday. The ironic thing was we were in a mall and our booth was next to Uniqlo and Nike. We had our friends from Save that Pen and Repair Kopitiam to keep us company.
As you can see in the photo below, it was freezing cold!!
#3 Featured in The Straits Times!
The blog got featured in the national paper on Sunday. It was a lovely feature by journalist, Lea Wee, and she even mentioned my Fix It Friday and Restyle Your Wardrobe workshops! Thank you, Straits Times! You can read the article here.
#3 Another Electronics Workshop!
I finalised my collaboration with Fashion Makerspace to hold a Halloween DIY workshop. Why buy your costumes when you can make your own? We'll be sharing how to make glow in the dark tutu dresses, magic wands and fairy wings! Do join us!
I've never had such an awesome week!
